Banff National Park, Canada

The Canadian Rockies are on every photographer's bucket list. The lurid blue lakes, the epic mountain backdrops, the untouched forests. I certainly couldn't wait to go. And, it definitely didn't disappoint. My first morning, I stood alone and watched as the sun came up, illuminating Peyto Lake. I was so excited. Later that day a friend joined me, and we spent the next few days hiking, canoeing and looking for animals. But, it was only when we ventured further into the wilderness, away from the crowds of people, that it became really special.
